Latin name:  Various

History:  Octagon has rescued various ducks, chicken, geese, and goats when people move or canít take care of them any longer. There is one very old Death Valley Burro named Missy. Many turtles and Tilapia (fish) live in the pond.

Daisy and Benji: death valley burros, mother and son. Benji was just born in July 2012. You'll see a couple of varieties of rescued & non rescued hoof-stock here. They help keep our taxes down for the sanctuary with a certain number of them that have to remain here. The goats in the parking lot help with that as well.
